Meet Your Librarian

I am a high school librarian who has called Stephenville home since coming here to attend Tarleton State University. I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from Tarleton before earning my master’s degree in Library Science from Texas Woman’s University. What started as a college journey turned into a lifelong connection to Stephenville—I came for college and never left! My favorite colors are truly blue, yellow and purple.  Before becoming a librarian, I was an English teacher who taught mostly American literature. As an educator, I love creating a welcoming space where students can discover new interests, explore ideas, and develop a lifelong love of reading. I have two mottos: “Never stop learning” and “So many books, so little time.”

Outside of the library, I’m a big baseball fan, trying to watch a game in every major league ballpark. I also want to visit every state. I’m always happy to find an excuse to travel. Some of my favorite places include Phoenix (for spring training), Disneyland or Disneyworld (It’s a magical place.) and San Marcos (for the outlet mall shopping). I also love a stop into Buc-ee’s or a fun thrift store.
