Welcome Message

Welcome to the Stephenville High School website! I am hopeful that this site will be easy to navigate and useful to you as you search for information. I am truly excited and privileged to serve as Principal of Stephenville High School. At SHS, we are blessed with fantastic students, teachers, parents, and a community that believes in supporting children.

Over the years, our students have excelled both inside and outside of the classroom. Because of the tremendous amount of success they have achieved, our motto is “A Tradition of Excellence.” This tradition was established long ago by our alumni and is being upheld each and every day by our current students. Personally, I want to say thanks to those that paved the way and established this strong tradition.

If you have any questions, or want to come by to visit, please feel free to call or stop by.

Stephanie Traweek Principal, Stephenville High School

Stephenville ISD Bond 2018

Over the last year, a Facilities Planning Committee comprised of a cross-section of our community diligently studied and deliberated the needs of our District. In December, they made a recommendation to the Board of Trustees of a list of projects to address the highest priorities. After much thought and discussion, the Board decided to move forward with the Committee’s recommendation, and with a unanimous vote, the Board called a $60.81 million bond election for May 5, 2018.

Opt-In for Direct Text Messages from Stephenville ISD

SISD is taking steps to increase the standardization of our communication. Partnering with School Messenger, we are now able to communicate directly with our parents, guardians, students and community through a variety of platforms. We understand that one of the most direct and immediate forms of communication is through text messaging. However, we need your permission to make this service available on your device.

To opt-in for Direct Text Messages, text "Y" or "Yes" to 67587.

This new coordinated approach will allow the District and Campuses to send up to the minute, real time information via text messaging, Twitter, Facebook, recording and email.

SHS TSI (Texas Success Initiative) Information

SHS offers the TSI to students throughout the year. The cost will be $5.00 per section (Reading, Writing, and Mathematics). After initially taking all three sections, students only have to test on the sections needed. Students MUST complete the pre-assessment. See link in the article.
