Michael Bay


Michael Bay was our robot to address the Recycle Rush game of 2015.

 

Purpose


The objective of the game was to stack recycle bin totes and trash cans on top of one another to get the most points. The team that could stack the highest totes with the trashcan did the best.

 

Objective

 

Our design to address this objective was a robot with an intake system for totes that pulled them entirely though the robot. This allowed for fast points as the robot pulled totes from the "landfill". This intake and stack design allowed us to place 1 to 6 totes and "cap" or place a can on 1-5. It was constructed with a omni drive to allow strafing and a hooked arm, held on a rail and powered by a winch to raise the can.
