AP/Dual Credit Spanish 5

¡Bienvenidos a Español 5! Welcome to advanced Spanish!

 

This year will be a great year and I hope you are looking forward to it as much as I am. 

 

As in all of my classes, Spanish will be used exclusively in the classroom by myself and all students. Participation is the most important component of language learning, therefore your compliance with
this rule is imperative to success in advanced Spanish.

 

Because this is an advanced class, each student will be expected to manage their progress and completion of assignments on an individual basis.  This means that each student must be responsible enough to bring any concerns regarding grades; past, present or future, to me personally through email, google voice text or simply a personal conversation.  Due to the advanced nature of this course, communication and/or contact must be made first by the student themselves regarding any concern before parent involvement.  This is not meant to imply that parental contact or communication will be ignorned or forgotten, however it does mean that before concerns or questions will be answered, the student themselves must first communicate the issue to me.  If not resolved through the student, then parental contact will be welcomed.  This mandate is not to discourage parental involvement whatsoever, it is simply to teach students to become more assertive and outspoken in regards to their education.  We believe that this will better prepare them for the future, be it in higher education or the workforce.
