Welcome Message

Welcome to the Stephenville High School website! I am hopeful that this site will be easy to navigate and useful to you as you search for information. I am truly excited and privileged to serve as Principal of Stephenville High School. At SHS, we are blessed with fantastic students, teachers, parents, and a community that believes in supporting children.

Over the years, our students have excelled both inside and outside of the classroom. Because of the tremendous amount of success they have achieved, our motto is “A Tradition of Excellence.” This tradition was established long ago by our alumni and is being upheld each and every day by our current students. Personally, I want to say thanks to those that paved the way and established this strong tradition.

If you have any questions, or want to come by to visit, please feel free to call or stop by.

Stephanie Traweek Principal, Stephenville High School

ANNOUNCEMENTS
FMO 2015
This will be our 6th year and with it, come some changes. A couple of years ago, Dr. Troy Robertson (Tarleton State University) and I spoke about bringing in a power-house conductor that could invest time towards the work at TSU as well as benefit all of us involved in FMO. It took a year in advance to secure him, but we are so honored to have Dr. Andre' Thomas from Florida State University coming! He is respected all over the world for his work as an educator, composer and conductor. He will be a blessing and a challenging conductor for us. I am excited to know someone of this caliber is coming to Stephenville! We will be expecting more singers this year because of his coming so mark your calendar for February 20-21, 2015. You will not want to miss it!!
EPIC

EPIC EPIC (Encouraging People in Our Community) is a humanitarian organization at Stephenville High School that is thriving and growing. Altruism becomes a way of life for EPIC students, paying-it-forward and performing random acts of kindness on a regular basis. In the upcoming school year they have numerous philanthropic events planned to promote paying-it-forward, (PIFFING) both at SHS and around our community.

If you would like to join, please contact Mrs. Cozart, Mrs. Holland or Mrs. Carter. Feel Free to get invites and information regarding EPIC events and activities by joining our EPIC Remind 101 by texting @EPICSHS to (830)730-5544.
