Welcome Message

Welcome to the Stephenville High School website! I am hopeful that this site will be easy to navigate and useful to you as you search for information. I am truly excited and privileged to serve as Principal of Stephenville High School. At SHS, we are blessed with fantastic students, teachers, parents, and a community that believes in supporting children.

Over the years, our students have excelled both inside and outside of the classroom. Because of the tremendous amount of success they have achieved, our motto is “A Tradition of Excellence.” This tradition was established long ago by our alumni and is being upheld each and every day by our current students. Personally, I want to say thanks to those that paved the way and established this strong tradition.

If you have any questions, or want to come by to visit, please feel free to call or stop by.

Travis Stilwell Principal, Stephenville High School

SHS could submit 12 entries and 9 entries by eight students were selected as state finalists. This contest is 1A-5A schools competing together so it’s an honor they have been selected. This year’s contest required students to read Moliere’s Tartuffe and then select a visual artist and create designs for Tartuffe using their visual artist as inspiration.
These students will compete in May for state. They will defend their work before judges.
Robotics Team

Robotics Team The SHS Robotics Team has been working diligently since January 4th to build a robot that would be able to perform all of the tasks of this year’s competition (see link below). With some fantastic guidance from Brant White, an engineer at FMC, the kids were able to put together something amazing. Along with the physics and design principles, they also learned to use CAD design software (with assistance from Jarrett Robertson, a CAD designer for FMC), CNC machining equipment, and 3D printing technologies for both functional and aesthetic designs. Although the competition is not until Spring Break, the biggest challenge – completing the robot by yesterday’s deadline – is behind them. When you see our robotics students, give them a pat on the back.
