Welcome to Marketing Dynamics and BIM

We're off to a great start with the 2014-2015 school year!

 

In Marketing Dynamics, the students will gain knowledge and skills that help them to be proficient in distribution, financing, marketing-information management, pricing, product planning, promotion, purchasing, risk management, and selling skills needed to help customers make satisfying buying decisions and to solve marketing problems. This class includes the work-based component; students must work at least 15 hours per week at an approved traiining station.

In Principles of Business, Marketing, and Finance, the students will gain knowledge and skills in economies and private enterprise systems, the impact of global business, marketing of goods and services, advertising, and product pricing. Students analyze the sales process and financial management principles. This course allows students to reinforce, apply, and transfer academic knowledge and skills to a variety of interesting and relevant activities, problems and settings in business, marketing, and finance.


In Business Information Management, the students will develop technology skills with applications to personal and business situations focusing on word processing, spreadsheets, databases, telecommunications, presentation management, networking, operating systems and emerging technologies.   

Students are encouraged to become a DECA member.  DECA membership is available to students with career interests in marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, hospitality and management in grades nine through twelve. Any student who has taken or is currently taking a CTE class may become a member.  DECA members can begin their experience as early as the ninth grade by enrolling in a marketing, finance, hospitality, business management or entrepreneurship course. DECA Career ClustersThey can retain their membership in DECA as long as they are actively pursuing courses in one of the content areas. Dues are $35.  

DECA PREPARES EMERGING LEADERS AND ENTREPRENEURS IN MARKETING, FINANCE, HOSPITALITY AND MANAGEMENT.The DECA advisor is Ms. Burks.
